Bill Belichick as your new boss:

May 2nd, 2010

Wouldn’t it be great to have Bill Belichick as your new boss?  I certainly think so . . .

Cowboys Draft Board – What were they thinking . . .

April 29th, 2010

Apparently a photo has turned up showing most of the Cowboy’s draft board.   Nothing earth-shattering, but insightful nonetheless . . . I guess . . .

BS Report – Superbowl Preview

February 6th, 2010

I think this is a week and a half gap for me.  Thank goodness Kyle still posts – keeping this site alive.

My monstrous contribution today: I recommend Part 2 of this week’s BS report.  BOOM!

Pre-clip chuckler for NFL Championship games

January 24th, 2010

In case you missed this little gem from the Colts-Ravens divisional game last week. During a play in the Raven’s end zone, Peyton Manning curses out RB Donald Brown after Brown fails to heed Manning’s warning about watching out for the pass rush on the left side. (Note, this clip will probably get yanked from youtube shortly, so we’ll see how long this lasts):

Lunchtime football reading

January 18th, 2010

As has been typical with my last few posts, I’m bumping good content from Kyle out of top billing on our site, all for the sake of a couple hyperlinks.

So here we go again!  First, I’d recommend brushing up on Peter King’s thoughts on this weekend’s NFL divisional playoffs.   Then I’d recommend Matt Bowen’s latest Scheme Session, which discusses Favre’s tearing apart of the Cowboy’s secondary.

Rebirth + Divisional round playoff picks

January 13th, 2010

Hear hear!  If we can’t make it for two months, shame on us.  Either way, I’ve re-titled our tag line as “Your #12 source” . . . so we have a better chance of living up to our namesake in case we slack off like before.

Without further ado, I announce my picks for this week’s divisional round playoffs.  These reflect the playoff odds from footballoutsiders.com, which have New Orleans and San Diego as heavy favorites, and Dallas/Minneapolis, and Baltimore/Indy as pick-em’s.  I go with Indy due to 1) home field; 2) Flacco’s injury; and, 3) overblown concerns about the Colts taking off three weeks in a row.  I pick against Dallas, because it’s just too difficult to root for them so long as Jerry Jones is the face of the franchise.  Anyway, here you go:

Sunday Games My Picks
Arizona at New Orleans (-7) New Orleans
Baltimore at Indianapolis (-6.5) Washington
Dallas at Minneapolis (-3) Minneapolis
NY Jets at San Diego (-7) San Diego
